Pre-ballet- Ages 3-4
This class aims to develop basic terms, motor skill, flexibility and creative movement. Dancers will practice working as a group, taking turns and following complex direction.
Ballet I- Ages 5-6
Dancers will learn basic ballet technique and begin to link movements together introducing students to ballet combinations and choreography. Emphasis is placed on movement creativity.
Ballet II- Ages 5-7
Focusing on discipline, and developing a solid ballet vocabulary. Dancers begin to learn more advanced combinations of ballet movement and begin to prepare for performance.
Ballet IIIb- Ages 6-8
A transitional class between basic skill classes and the more advanced levels. This class begins to build solid technique in a traditional ballet class format.
Ballet IIIa- Ages 6-8
A transitional class between basic skill classes and the more advanced levels. This class begins to build solid technique in a traditional ballet class format.
Ballet IVb- Ages 7-9
These students are ready, both physically and mentally, to begin studying the details and the complexity of classical ballet. These students learn the more advanced vocabularies and techniques that will be the cornerstone of the advanced classes.
Ballet IVa- Ages 10-12
This class is considered a pre-pointe class. It focuses on the serious ballet student, with emphasis on commitment and performance quality. Students enrolled in the upper levels are expected to take all classes offered at their level
Ballet V - Ages 13 +
This class is aimed towards the experienced dancer. technical details while developing movement quality, artistry and poise. Dancers in this class will also have the opportunity to perform and may have extra rehearsals outside of the scheduled class. Students enrolled in the upper levels are expected to take all classes offered at their level
Pointe- level IVa and V only
To be considered for pointe shoes, students must be at least 11 years old, have had a minimum of 3 full years of classical ballet training, and currently be taking ballet classes. Proper strength and technical ability are required.
Teen Ballet- Ages 14- adult
Open to all teens and adults regardless of experience. This class consists of a ballet barre and ballet center.
Modern- Ages 14 - Adult
Open to all teens and adults regardless of experience.
